Tomoko Monno is a Japanese graphic designer based in London. I graduated from Central Saint Martins and took the Typography Summer Intensive course at Royal College of Art. I am currently working as a designer at BBC creative where I work on solving problems based on typography, layout and motion.

I believe in visual communication that influence our world in a positive way, and not only making them look attractive. My goals in work is to balance the project between rational and emotional values that triggers responses from audiences by changing their perception. My cultural background influences the final outcomes, leading to more memorable and unexpected ways.

Have achieved
Communications Arts  Typography Annual: Shortlisted,
the Promax awards (Best Direct Response, Something for Nothing) as well as a D&AD New Blood Monotype Pencil award and had my work featured by Behance.
