Matsumoto: Where Kana Begins, My Letters Each single-stroke character represents one student's learning journey. The swirling stroke expresses life experiences across time and space; the white space at the centre marks "here" on one's life map.

Osaka: I Want to Hear, My Letters From Here The swirling, linear form of kana resembles an ear — and kana was born to record sound. The shape is simultaneously an ear, an act of listening, and the way sound travels.
